Hello bloggers! My name is Tiffany McCreary. I am currently a sophomore transfer at the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill.  I am originally from Reykjavik, Iceland and moved to a small town in Oklahoma with my family when I was still very young before relocating to Holly Springs, North Carolina where I currently call home. I intend to double major in Biology and Chemistry and minor is Spanish with aspirations to continue on to Medical School to pursue a career in Pediatrics.  I have had the privilege of experiencing campus life at two completely different universities, North Carolina Central University, and now here at UNC.  I have always been very active in both academic and social student organizations at every school I have attended.  As a result of these experiences I have been able to meet many different students from many different walks of life and feel like I know what our demographic wants to read.  Despite the fact that the scientific journals include interesting topics we are all interested in, we are hardly able to squeeze in time to cypher through the scientific jargon to get to an underlying topic, and if we do by the time we translate into terms we understand the interest is usually gone.  Fortunately, we have established a group of students, who like myself, are able to understand what it is we want to know and how to portray this information in a way we can all enjoy.  Happy Blogging!

My name is Kasey Simmons. I was born and raised in Winston Salem, North Carolina and graduated as an Honors Graduate and member of the National Honors Society from West Forsyth High School. After high school I continued my education at the University of South Carolina- Columbia. After an interesting, trying, and somewhat unpleasant experience, I transferred and now attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a sophomore college student, I have lived on campus for two years, experienced a great diversity of people and education, and spent a great deal of time volunteering for Habitat for Humanity Restore and the Children's Home for foster children in my hometown. Though I intend to study business with a focus on marketing, I am very interested in the Spanish language and culture, as well as improving economic conditions of developing countries through the approach of microfinance.

Hey Guys,
My name is Bryant Pope and I am a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  This is my first actual blogging attempt, but I am confident that it will be a success.
A little bit about me... I am the Vice President and Captain of the Club Baseball team here at UNC. Currently I am the co-chair of a new club that we have just started back up called “Life Takes Guts.”  It focuses specifically about how to become an organ donor, and what it means to be one. I was a four year three Varsity athlete in High School; including Football, Swimming, and     Baseball. I am from a small town called Dunn, North Carolina (first known as “Luck Now”). I love going to the beach with my family and friends. Also, wake boarding and tubing at my lake house equals hours upon hours of fun. Back at home, I managed a Private community pool this past summer…  Finally, after being a lifeguard all throughout high school. I am very outgoing and love to have a good time. With this blog I hope to reach out and break some things down, in order for my peers and readers to better understand a more complex subject matter.  Also, with a group effort, I want to make strides in my writing and become an overall better writer. Please feel free to email me if you want to discuss anything I have covered here in this biography or a posted blog article.

My name is Eric Vorst and I am a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I spent the first year of school at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and transferred this fall to study Biology and hopefully get my B.S. I graduated high school in 2009 from A. C. Reynolds in Asheville NC. In high school I earned varsity letters in soccer and was a part of student government. I became scuba certified my senior year and have used that to take advantage of traveling and research opportunities. During high school I was exposed to a variety of subjects and have fortified my understanding of many of them since beginning college.
I believe that I am very thorough in my research and do not share my opinions unless they have relevant evidence to support them. All of my writings are composed to enlighten the reader to factual information or a new point of view that I believe has been overlooked and could shed more light on a subject.

My name is Michael Folk, and I am a twenty year old college student who is currently in my second year at the University of North Carolina. I graduated from Memphis University School in Memphis, TN, where I grew up in a family of six. My parents are Michael and Debbie and I have three sisters, Catherine, Miller, and Elizabeth. I enjoy the outdoors and sports. I played football at UNC my freshman year and have decided to pursue something different. My favorite activities are hunting and fishing, and spending all my free time outdoors. I have yet to decide my major, but I am interested in communications, psychology, and economics.
